Top jewellers of the national capital have forayed into the world of cricket, launching a T20 style sports league here.The Delhi jewellers sports league was launched here on Monday evening in which eight teams will participate from across the city at Talkatora Cricket ground between April 23-29.
Industrialists, celebrities and other distinguished persons including former cricketer Chetan Sharma, Bollywood actors Ranjit, Urvashi Rautela, Dolly Bindra,Vindu Dara Singh, UNI chairman Vishwas Tripathi, founders DJSL Aman Gupta, Amit Gupta,Naveen Herawala were also present on the occasion.
‘The initiative is unique in bringing people together and promote sports and will definitely be good for sports’, said Chetan Sharma.
Bollywood diva Urvashi Rautela highlighting the importance of sports and fitness also laid emphasis on how important sports plays an important role in a persons life to keep them healthy and focused.
The trophy for the tournament was also showcased during the launch of the DJSL.
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by Shri Deepender Singh Hooda as chief guest.
